'Addicted to Metal' is the second, and very good, album from these youngsters, Kissin' Dynamite. The titletrack has guestvocals of the German metal-god UDO, and that was enough reason to have a talk with frontman Hannes.

What's new in the Dynamite's front?

Hannes: Well, we will play in several countries in Europe for the first time and our
2nd album "Addicted to metal" is released even in the USA and Japan! So we
are happy and we are confident for the future!

How are things going with the new cd?

Hannes: I think quite good, in Germany we even reached a chart position on #91! I
hope, that this CD opens the world for us to tour everywhere!

How did 5 young guys like you meet each other and started out a band?

Hannes: Of course we know ourselves from school. Actually we were two cover rock
bands, which have merged to the current line up with the name "Kissin
Dynamite". We have been doing music for about ten years now and we started
playing our instruments at the age of 6/7. Even back than, watching shows
from Iron Maiden and AC/DC, rockmusic became our big passion and we wanted
to be like our grand heros=) So, we formed the band!


The song 'lie for me', is it about someone in particular? or do you have a
storie 'bout it? :)

Hannes: No, it isn´t about someone in particular, this song shall just show, that we
are free-spirited and for us a girl  should be someone very special=)


You've had a lot of shows in Germany yet, and the foreign shows keep adding
up.
Do you notice a difference in metal-scenes and fans between countries?

Hannes: Yes, in fact there are differences between the countries´ taste in music:
Sweden for example is at least nowadays the main place, when it comes to
sleeze rock and glam, whereas Germany is more a Death Metal place. So I
can´t wait to go to Sweden^^

The title track of your new cd 'Addicted to Metal' contains guestvocals of
the mighty UDO.
How did it go, working together for the album and for gigs? And what did
lead to this cooperation?

Hannes: Udo watched our last year´s show at Bang your head festival from the
background and he was totally amazed by our performance! We talked for three
hours and he wanted us to support him on his DOMINATOR World Tour. In fact,
we played several shows in december of 2009 and there the idea came about to
do also a feature. Finally he showed up in our studio in january of 2010.
Working with him was awesome, because he´s so uncomplicated and althogh he´d
reached the metal olymp, he´s so normal and absolutely not arrogant!

Do you have any plans to work together with other rockstars?

Hannes: We would love to work together with AC/DC, Maiden or Mötley Crüe but I think
they´re too big...^^ But I´d love to work with Tobias Sammet, too and I
think that this might be possible=)

Are you ready for your first Belgian show at Ages of Metal, 9th of oct? What
can we expect?

Hannes: Of course we are!^^ You can expect a kick ass show from the beginning on
until the end! We will play songs from our first album and our second, of
course the best ones!!!

How do you see Kissin' Dynamite within 5 years?

Hannes: I hope in big stadiums in front of thousands of people^^ No, we want to
become successful as much as we can with our music and we want to spend our
whole lifes with the music, so I hope that in 5 years we don´t have to do something else to survive!
