Shotgun Express (Hardrock N Roll, DE)

These words from guitarist Johnny Cobra explain everything about SHOTGUN EXPRESS, those dirty motherfuckers from Stuttgart/Germany. It is Hardrock with a Fuck You attitude!

Founded back in 2009, SHOTGUN EXPRESS quickly established themselves in the Rock’n Roll underground scene in Germany, documented by many more than 60 shows in two years with bands like RHINO BUCKET, PSYCHOPUNCH, V8 WANKERS, VAIN, TOKYO BLADE or KISSIN’ DYNAMITE. Besides their festival appearances at SHOUT IT OUT LOUD (CINDERELLA, BONFIRE) or the H.E.A.T FESTIVAL (AXXIS, WIG WAM, H.E.A.T, CHINA) they played a tour in Germany in spring 2011 with British Blues Rockers THE QUIREBOYS as well as a short headliner tour in Belgium.

“Gypsy Blues”, the self-produced debut album, which was mixed and mastered in the STUDIO UNDERGROUND in Sweden by Pelle Saether (PSYCHOPUNCH, GRAND DESIGN) features some guest performances by THE QUIREBOYS Pianoplayer Keith Weir, SAIDIAN Keyboarder Markus Bohr and PUMP singer Marcus Jürgens on backing vocals. These songs bring back the spirit of the seventies and eighties, where Rock’n Roll was about getting laid, getting wasted and having fun.
