The from Italy hailing Glam Rock 4-piece Heartless tries to bring all the delicious ingredients of Rock ‘n Roll together, and melt it into one badass E.P. Unfortunately, it only works partial…maybe add some spice?

I really don’t know how to define Heartless. It’s kinda Rock ‘n Roll, but it lacks attitude. Anyway, while listening to this record, a little voice in my head says “hmm, what the f*ck are they doing now?!” or “Why switching between two completely different music styles?”. Sorry guys, but sometimes even I can’t ignore things what bothers me.

For example; It almost looks/sounds like the four band members only play music for themselves. Don’t get me wrong, musically it’s above average. But why are the bass and drumlines so fukkin heavy and loud? Can’t hear the freakin’ guitar anymore! What comes to another point: as a founding member, bassist Alfa wanted to be credited as the first one. But why? Who cares? I know I certainly don’t. Just another example.

Okay, the songs “Baby Maybe Someday” and “Rock ‘n Roll Dirty Dream” are pretty entertaining, but what the f*ck is the case with “Stolen by Summer” and “End of Summer”?! Were they trying to create an alltime classic as “Stairway to Heaven” or “Child in Time”? Nice try, but forget about it, there’s nothing epic or experimental about that. Just not cutting it.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I get the feeling the members of Heartless rather want to go solo, instead of being together in a band. Also, calling yourself “Glam” , it takes a lot more than singing about chicks and Rock ‘n Roll (leave the looks aside, nothing fancy about them).

So, overall I can say Heartless has some potential, but they probably won’t have a chance in today's Glam ‘n Sleaze scene. The E.P. is OK, that’s about it. Hopefully, Heartless take their time before releasing their full-length, ‘cause there’s a lot of work to do. “Five Bullets in your Heart” is the perfect title: I rather want to be dead since this E.P. ain't worth living for.
