Christmas time = "Best Of" time, right? Well, in case of Hardcore Superstar, a "Best Of" album is justifiable as the band is existing since 1997 and had numerous hit singles since then, especially in their home country Sweden. So many that you could complain despite the lush tracklist of 20 songs: "But this one song is missing... and that other song as well!" Hardcore Superstar do a lot of things right, also with their "Best Of": They provide 20 songs, including the brandnew track "We Don't Need A Cure", but instead of intermixing killers with fillers, the other 19 songs are killers only, like "Medicate Me", "Honey Tongue" and "Bastards". The latter even has never been released on one of the regular albums. Nevertheless, some other killers like "Silence For The Peacefully", "Sadistic Girls" and "Kick On The Upperclass" are left out. And that's what makes a "Best Of" being perfect: You buy it, you hear it, you love it - and immediately, you want to have the complete discography of the band! There is no album that hasn't been considered on "The Party Ain't Over 'Til We Say So": "It's Only Rock'n'Roll", "Bad Sneakers And A Piña Colada", "Thank You (For Letting Us Be Ourselves)", "No Regrets", "Hardcore Superstar", "Dreamin' In A Casket", "Beg For It", "Split Your Lip"...

The artwork is associated with the one of the last studio album "Split Your Lip" and maybe there couldn't have been a more perfect time to release the first "Best Of" album than now as the popularity of Jocke Berg (Vocals), Vic Zino (Guitar), Martin Sandvik (Bass) and Magnus "Adde" Andreasson (Drums) in growing stronger and faster these days. Not to squeeze money out of the people because it's Christmas time, but rather to tell them: "Merry Christmas, that's what we have done so far - and keep your eyes and ears open for what we will bring you in the future!" Who is not so into Christmas: Ok, forget the whole "Turkey and Christmas gifts" nonsense - but buy this CD 'cause it belongs to the record collection of every Rock, Metal and Sleaze fan! Or in other words: It's an absolute must-have!
