December 12th 2011 sees the release of Strangeways 8th studio album "Age Of Reason".
Formed in the early 80's, Strangeways have been around the block a time or two. Crooked managers, departing singers and a somewhat hostile business have conspired to keep them one of the UK's best kept secrets.
Reunited last year with American singer Terry Brock and now with the return of bassist David Stewart, Age Of Reason is a classic Strangeways affair.

The album opens with "The sentinel" a mid tempo song with great vocals from Terry !!
"Run" is more of a rocker with great guitars !!
"Playin' it over" is an emotional ballad with a great bass line.
"As we fall" is again a mid tempo song with a beautiful melody
One of my favorites is "Call" an amazing melodic song with amazing vocals !!
My absolute fovorite is "Alive again"...an amazing AOR song in the same style of the early days !!
"Silver Moon" is a greatb ballad with a great chorus.
"Frozen" is again a rocker with excellent guitars and sollid bass !!
The album closes with "Long road" is again a mid tempo song.

After the rather dissapointing comeback album last year Strangeway is finally back in business !!
A great album full of smooth melodic songs !!!
Personally I'd like to see a few more uptempo songs. But all in all this is the comeback album we were waiting for all these years !!

After a brief flirtation with the business for their comeback album "Perfect World" Strangeways have again decided to release Age Of Reason on their own Dangerous Dog Records label and are looking forward to promoting it live in early 2012.
