Winnebago Deal present a dirty bubblegum glam sound that is straight to the point and skill wise, at first, rather simplistic. Album opener “Heart Attack In My Head” has all these qualities while “Tokyo Rip” is gripping and punchy also. Various guitar riffs are thrown around during “I want your blood” which is both aggressive and attitudinal, losing the fun sound a little. However, the backing vocals, not only on this song, are a little amateurish, affecting the quality of the song. After “Nobody's fault but mine” the next six songs follow very similar sounds and structures but if you cannot lose yourself in the melodies or words, it is easy to lose yourself simply to the power and angry attitude of the songs. “Set in Stone” is my favourite track since it's more exciting thanks to the more obvious structure and endless riffs to listen to. The relentless pace of the whole album continues in “Suicide Pact” which is accompanied by a slicing guitar sound. The penultimate track “Frostbiter” pushes the band into even heavier territory while “Can't See, Don't Care, Don't Know” was a bit disappointing to end on seeing how weak it is as a song. A heavy, punchy album, catchy and strong in places but sadly not consistent throughout.
