The press release for this album says “ The new amazing album "Enough Rope" follows on seamlessly from the glory days of their debut "No Respect" “

And I guess that almost everybody thinks the same thing I did. “ Yeah Right “

But for once it was true. This is an album that really sounds like Vain did in the 80´s.

The style of the songwriting and the sound. But most importantly the attitude!!!

This is straight in the face rock n roll. The vibe is there and it grows on you. I´m especially impressed that Davy Vains voice sounds like it did then.

The songs got that special hooks that makes you start to sing along. After the first listen to the album I was gonna say it was a good album, but it really grows on you and after 5 or 6 times you´re just stuck.

As a unit the album is really good were you enjoy every song and just wait for the next one to start. I believe a lot of fans of Vain will be very happy.

There really isn´t one bad song on the album. There is a even flow through out the album, with quality songs. And It peaks in songs like “ Greener “, “ Triple X “, “ Enough rope “ and “ Worship you “ But I saved the best for last !

The ballad “ Treasure Girl “ is just a masterpiece ! If this one had been released in the 80´s the decade of power ballads. My guess is that it would had been up there with the greatest songs of that time. The lyrics are amazing as well as the music. I just hope that people will get the chance to hear this gem.

So if you love the sound of Hair metal from the 80´s buy this album !!!
