Over the years Frontiers became well known for their fine AOR,melodic rock releases but every now and then there's one album that gets on top of everything else !

Issa is such an album...Isabell Veen from Oslo (age 26) is the newest addition to the stable of Frontiers Records, Sign Of Angels is her debut album,

The songs (co) written by illustrious names as Joacim Cans (Hammerfall), Thomas Vikström (Candlemass) and Sören Kronqvist (Crash the System) and Helped by producer Ronny Milianowicz (SAINT DEAMON) and killer musicians such as Peter Huss on guitar, Uli Kusch (ex-MASTERPLAN, HELLOWEEN) on drums, Nobby Noberg on bass and Tim Larsson (NICK LACHEY) on keyboards Issa sometimes remind me of "Place Vendome"

Three quarters hardrock / AOR of very high quality is what Sign Of Angels has to offer and the sing-along nature level is sky high. Issa turns out to be a very powerfull singer and the songs, all in terms of playing around the four minute bite-size, are very catchy ! The first single I'm Alive is an instand hit. Other highlights include, among others, Closer and the beautiful power ballad Unbelievable.

Amazing debut from a lady that I hope to hear more from.
